Personal Support Worker
Location: Kingston, ON
Job Status: Full-time/Part-time
Hours of Work/Shifts: Available to Work Days, Nights and Weekends
Looking for a vibrant enthusiastic Personal Support Worker who is passionate for home care and loves to work with seniors. Should be certified PSW with updated First Aid/ CPR training.
Job duties include all aspects of homecare e.g. housekeeping, companionship, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, personal care, Alzheimer’s care, Palliative Care etc. as per client’s needs
Car with a valid Driver’s License will be an asset for the job.
Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Registered Practical Nurse
Location: Kingston and Surrounding Area
Job Status: Part Time
Hours of Work/Shifts: Flexible – Work Days, Nights and Weekends
Required Qualifications:
Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Valid and current CPR level” C” and First Aid Certification
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records
Work independently and collaboratively with an inter professional team in a fast-paced changing environment
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
Effective leadership, decision-making, organizational and problem-solving skills
Possess a complete police reference check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within the twelve months)
Updated vaccinations
TB Step 2 Test or chest x-ray
Preferred Qualifications
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate is an asset
Two to four years of recent relevant work experience
Ability to speak a second language is an asset
Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
Proven commitment to ongoing professional development
Job Responsibilities
Possess a strong client-centered approach with patients and family in a professional and courteous manner
Proven punctuality in attendance is a must
Commitment to complying to current provincial legislation and regulatory standards and best practises in the nursing profession
